About the role

We are seeking a talented Design Specialist to deliver a broad range of high-quality graphic design outputs across the organisation. This is a temporary role supporting business needs through to June 2027.

The Design Specialist effectively manages their time to provide balanced and responsive design support, taking direction from relevant managers and stakeholders. Using strong design capability, UX knowledge, and excellent communication skills, the role ensures the timely and effective delivery of creative assets that meet organisational needs.

Job Description

Key duties:

  • Manage assigned design projects from initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and with approval from the Design Lead.
  • Deliver a wide range of creative materials—including campaign collateral, digital ads, print documents, signage, event materials, and presentations—in line with TEQ’s visual standards.
  • Track project progress, deadlines, and approvals using Jira, and maintain accurate file storage and version control via OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Ensure all design outputs consistently apply TEQ’s brand guidelines and act as a brand guardian across all deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members using Teams and Jira, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to brief.
  • Collaborate with the Design Lead, C&C Specialists, and other TEQ stakeholders to refine creative assets and support cross-departmental projects.

Desired Skills and Experience

For this role, we will consider your:

  • Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and confidence working with Canva and templates. 
  • Solid background in design and print production, including managing files and approving print proofs. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and perform well under pressure. 
  • Experience briefing, coordinating, and collaborating with external design agencies. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross functionally in a team environment. 
  • Interest or experience in optimising creative workflows, including automation, project management tools, and an understanding of AI driven design tools.
