Job Description

Join TEQ as our Digital Content Leader and shape the future of our consumer-facing digital channels. This role leads content strategy, creation, and governance across platforms including Queensland.com, email, social media, and emerging platforms.  You’ll manage a Digital Content Specialist and commission freelancers to deliver high-quality, impactful content that meets business goals. With a strong editorial eye and creative vision, you’ll drive innovation in digital workflows, channel optimisation, and tech adoption.  Success in this role requires deep expertise in SEO, GEO, and AI-driven search platforms, plus the agility to adapt to the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Key duties

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing content team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Champion the Queensland brand, ensuring it is consistently reflected across all digital content and team activities.
  • Strategically plan and oversee consumer-facing digital content across organic and paid channels, aligning with brand and business objectives.
  • Optimise content performance using consumer insights, behavioural data, and emerging technologies including AI and SEO best practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, collaborating with internal teams, freelancers, and agencies to deliver integrated content plans.
  • Oversee governance and reporting, including budget management, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement of content processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

For this role, we will consider your:

  • Proven experience in content marketing strategy and execution across websites, EDMs, and social media (organic and paid).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Expertise in content strategy, workflow optimisation, and governance.
  • Advanced SEO knowledge and familiarity with AI-driven search platforms.
  • Ability to deliver both organic content and paid campaign assets aligned to business goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
